Toni Broaddus
Toni Boyd Broaddus was born in Santa Fe and raised on ranches in northern NM. She graduated with the last graduating class of Chama High, 1966. She has had a desire to learn to spin and weave, especially saddle blankets since the founding of Tierra Wools in 1983.
Life has a way of happening, and Toni finally got the opportunity to take Beginning Weaving class in July 2011. After making her first rug, she took the Natural Dye class and is apprenticing with Lupe. In October, Toni got to weave two saddle blankets as a special order. She is looking forward to more weaving, as well as sewing articles from some of the hand woven fabric from the shop.
